Today we finished unit 6 with the applications of the sine and cosine laws. Please do the practice problems on page 237 and 238 of the workkbook in preparation for your test. The assignment on the sine and cosine laws is due on Monday. The test on this unit will be on Wednesday.

Today students worked on the second assignment for this unit, on the Sine Law and the Cosine Law. This assignment is due on Monday, May 7th and the test will be next Wednesday, May 9th.

Today we covered the cosine law on page 233-236. For homework please do #34-40 on page 235-236. Remember that the assignment on triangle area is due on Monday.

Today we covered the Ambiguous Case of the Sine Law on page 230-232. For homework please do #30-33 on page 232. The assignment that was given out on Monday on triangle area is due next Monday, April 30th. No late assignments will be accepted. The test on unit 6 will be the week after next.

Today we reviewed finiding the area of a triangle. An assignment on this topic was distributed and must be handed in by next MONDAY! If you did not receive a copy you need to some by and pick one up. They are in the out folder with your names on them. No late assignments will be accepted. 

Today's trivia question is as follows: You have been invited to a number costume party where numbers are in disguise. You are first approached but a mysterious composite number who wears a pink panther costume. This romatntic lady tells you that she is a multiple of 11. She also tells you that she is the sum of the first four factorials (given that the first factorial is 1!) Which number is she?

A bonus mark will be awared to the first person to email the correct answer to me. Only one person will receive a bonus mark for this question. Stay tuned for more questions.

As an assignment students are to complete the following problems in the workbook and hand them in. 2204 students do #17,18&20 on page 194-195, and 2205 students do #17,19&21 on page 194-195. The deadline for this assignent is next Monday. Students are reminded that the assignment on rational functions is past due and must be submitted next class (Thursday)

There are three assignments for this unit: Radicals, Special Angles, Trig Expressions & Equations. Some people have yet to hand in any of these. All assignments must be submitted by next Wednesday, Feb 15th.
