Next class you will be presenting your dramatic readings in the aula.  You will be marked on: projection, enunciation/diction and expressiveness (of speaker voice).

The second half of class you will be working on annotating your King Henry monologues.

You will have the following class to work on Gulliver Mulligan, while memorizing the Henry monologue at home.  The class following you will rehearse your monologues together in pairs.  We will present the memorized Henry monologues in four classes.

Tuesday, September 27, 2011

Today students presented their mannerisms/expressions and received a mark.  We also did an activity on projection and students presented their poems - due Friday - for dramatic reading.

Friday, September 23, 2011

Two classes ago we presented our Tongue Twisters as part of our work on Vocalization.

Last class we did some work on character and you were assigned two things:

1. 'find' three mannerisms/traits in the school and bring them back to class.  be ready to tell us what 'traits' you think those mannerisms express - not to whom they belong!

2. find a poem/dramatic work/excerpt of no less than 15 lines and bring it to class: you will have to memorize it and recite it to the class from the stage.  Part of the marks will include the 'voice' that is used.

We then worked on our play prep.
